Fair dedicated to the textile market brings together leading global players in the industry

Gathering in his last two editions, some of the major players in the textile chain, including Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Italy, Pakistan, Peru, Singapore and Taiwan, the GO TEX SHOW – International Trade Fair for Textiles, event held annually in São Paulo, will in its 3rd edition with exhibitors of wire segments, fabric, finished products (fashion and homewear – bed, bath and table) and trims, among others.

According to data from IEMI – Institute of Industrial Studies and Marketing the Asia concentrates the leading textile producers in the world, being responsible for producing nearly 70% of textiles and over 65% of consumed apparel products worldwide. Brazil is the only country in South America with a prominent position in world textile production, accounting for 2.4%, which guarantees the fifth place in the ranking. It is the fourth largest garment producer with 2.6% of world production.

Consolidated as an international platform, the 2013 and 2014 editions of GO TEX SHOW – International Fair of Textiles, told with six of the 15 largest producers in the world textiles: China (50.2%); Pakistan (3.6%); Brazil (2.4%); Taiwanese (2.3%), Bangladesh (0.8%) and Italy (0.8%).

According to Pan Faming, the China Trade Center Group, executive director of the Organizing Committee of the fair, for the 2015 edition the organizers will seek further this diversification and offer the exhibiting and visiting companies real business opportunities in a global market. “The GO TEX SHOW aims to act as a global platform for clothing, retailers and importers are in the Brazilian fair differentiated products, with design and competitive costs,” says the executive.

The 3rd edition of the event, to be held from September 29 to October 1, 2015, in São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center in São Paulo, will receive public visitor importers, retailers, distributors and manufacturers who in addition to innovations in products may participate in content and updating events, strengthening exchanges between companies, textile professionals and students from various countries and promoting exchange of information and technology.

The Organizing Committee of the fair is formed by the China Trade Center Group, the CCCT – China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles and Apparel, the CCPIT TEX – China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Fiera Milano Group.
